John Floros of the Northcote club....is very proud of his blue bar cock that he clocked in the 1st Dimboola on 15/07/2007.

what started out as an ordinary Saturday, soon turned into a disappointing one, with it being declared a holdover...but getting the birds up first thing on Sunday, was he start of Johns good fortune......his pigeon was first bird in the Fed and was clocked in doing velocity of 1415.39..good trapping is important,  although John said he did lose about a minute,, lucky it was no longer as the first two fed places were separated by a split of a second, as the second place getter was doing 1415.00...............close!!!!

Johns fine cockbird was bred for him by his good friend and clubmate Leo Fyffe..and is down from Ray Boynes line of pigeons..

Congratulations and Well done John........!!

This week he clocked a nice blue bar cock, bred by himself (John is a Goodger/Pryor man)from a little meulemans hen.   .As well as breeding the Dimboola Fed winner this week , she has produced also 3rd fed Produce last year for John. Well done John......!!

After a short break and a move from Essendon to Williamstown, George was very happy to christen his loft with a fed win in the Tintinara Produce...

Owing to a late decision to race the 2007 season, George had to acquire his race team through the generosity of his fellow flyers & friends. He thanks them all greatly for this..

The fed winner was actually bred by  Robert Ziaja , off a hen provided to him by George Lup, both of the WPF....

Congratulations and well done , George...!!!

MORGAN-"NATIONAL"..13/10/2007

Rod Simmons and his two sons Leigh (holding the Fed Winner) and Michael..

This weeks Fed Winner of the Morgan "National"...is Rod Simmons & Sons from the Thomastown Club.... Leigh and Michael are quite often at the club filling in for Rod when he has his work commitments....so a first fed win is well deserved.

The little hen clocked in doing the 660klms in 1261mpm.. she is a Jansen/Goodger x Goodger/Pryor...so very well bred for the hard stuff.. the parents have also produced 2nd Fed 600 last year from Collerenebri, and we all know how hard that one was.. and 9th Fed from Hay.

To top it all off.. Rod had his good clubmate Pip Nakos clock for him as no-one was home....Good onya Pip.....a job well done....!!

P . Stokoe Memorial, Carrieton "500"

John races with the PascoeVale club, he is pictured here with the "500" mile fed winner a blue bar hen...

Desmet Matthys x Dordin on the dams side,,,with a Robbie Taylor Jansen x Wickham on the sire side..

the nestmate sister to this hen was 6thFed in the National and 4th fed in the Morgan 1 event...also landing just behind the winner (in fed time) of one of the YoungBirds Feds earlier this year..  John actually pulled this particular hen out of his National team so as she could race the "5"....good decision John............

Look at the size of this egg, laid by Johns 400 mile fed winner from 2000..now that's an egg..!! ...ouch..!!

The Dimboola "5 Birder".........

this race was also won by John Dismore...... so that makes it back to back wins for John........this time he clocked a little blue bar hen..pure VanLoon......from Grenville Evans ref A on the sires side,,, and off his Condobolin Fed winner on the Dams side.. areal winning combination as the cock has produced 3 few wins and the hen herself has produced 2......!!! what a great effort John............

****************************

"BOOKALOO"..600mile..Union Cup 05/11/2007

John Floros, being congratulated by fellow Union Member Joe Denaro, on his great win in the Bookaloo 600mile event.

If I remember correctly I stated earlier on this year that we would be seeing a lot more of John this season....and that exactly how it panned out.....

John won a total of 3 Feds this year and the last one being the coveted Union Cup. the 600 mile race.....this years being a very hard event and it took a courageous type of pigeon to make it through.

John was training 7 pigeons for this race and only handpicked three to send...he got to of these home ...a great effort ..!!

The hen he clocked and the second bird home are cousins,, the clock bird is off one of Jack Vanderlinden hen (1995 rung) from John Pryor blood lines..................and the sire is a full Pryor cock of his own from a brother x sister mating. He is a Grandson of the 500mile Morunda Fed winner.

Here they are, "THE GRADUATES of  2007"

three of the regular tossing group on a Saturday morning........Joe is famous for his "Mystery Tosses".......we never knew where the birds were going to get tossed from..........it was a matter of faith...but still the season paid off with fed positions spread all through the group....Thanks Joe...!!!!

*********************************
